How it's installed
Four layers between your wall and a finished stone face. Our masons take care of every one.
- The wallConcrete block, brick or framed walls with sheathing. It has to be solid, clean and flat.
- Weather barrier and metal lathOn framed walls, a water-resistant barrier keeps moisture out and galvanized lath gives the mortar something to grip.
- Scratch coatA first coat of mortar, scored with horizontal grooves so the stone can bond.
- The stoneEach stone is buttered with mortar and pressed into place, then the joints are finished.
